02/25/2011Pro-Tech Introduces Switchblade™ Containment Plows

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Pro-Tech introduces the Switchblade(TM) to its line of Sno Pusher containment plows. With its ability to switch between a rubber edge and steel trip edge, the Switchblade can handle changing weather and jobsite conditions without having to change plows. This unmatched versatility makes the unit ideal for serious snow and ice management professionals looking to increase productivity with snow pushers. The steel edge of the Switchblade features Pro-Tech’s patented IST technology, which includes a steel edge mounted on a specially blended memory urethane. When an obstruction is hit, the edge flexes and snaps back to its original angle in a smooth, non-shocking trip action.

02/16/2011Pro-Tech Sponsors Sno Fighter Documentary

RUSH, N.Y. -- Pro-Tech Manufacturing and Distribution is sponsoring a new documentary titled "Project Sno Fighter," which will highlight the lives and jobs of snow removal contractors. Filming is scheduled to take place through March 2011, and the documentary will debut at the Snow and Ice Management Association (SIMA) Symposium held this year in Schaumburg, Ill. "Project Sno Fighter" will feature five snow removal contactors located throughout the U.S. and Canada. "We want to show what happens behind the scenes, as well as the long, hard hours of battling a winter storm," said Mike Holihan, director of marketing for Pro-Tech. "The film is intended to pay homage to all contractors, both large and small, who often go unnoticed and underappreciated."

08/25/2010Pro-Tech Builds Rubber-Edged Containment Plows for Maximum Durability

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Pro-Tech offers a complete line of rubber-edged Sno Pusher containment plows for snow removal. These models perform best in wet, heavy snow, which allows the rubber edge to squeegee the surface clean. Plus, with heavily supported frames and no moving parts, Pro-Tech’s Sno Pushers are engineered with durability in mind. Pro-Tech’s premium rubber edges feature an optimum balance of hardness and flexibility characteristics, and they are manufactured using a continuous extrusion process. This means the rubber resists tearing, and it upholds a tensile strength greater than 2,000 psi, which is more than twice the strength of molded rubber alternatives.
